PLANTATION RUM


Each Plantation rum is a perfectly distinct expression of its Caribbean country of origin. Maison Ferrand Owner and Master Distiller, Alexandre Gabriel works closely with local distilleries crafting the rums, where they are left to age in warm Caribbean cellars for the initial part of their life. During the secondary process, the rums are exported to Cognac where they undergo a series of age old Cognac making techniques. This centuries old application is known by the French as 'elevage' and the process used is unique to Plantation. Vibrant, full flavoured Caribbean rums, finished with French finesse - which one will you fall in love with?

ORIGINAL DARK RUM


A blend of aged rums, Original Dark redefines the standard worldwide for dark rum. Three to Five year old Trinidadian rum is blended with Jamaican rum & caramel which enhance the bitter & spiced notes. Perfect with ginger beer, coke or in cocktails.

STIGGINS’ FANCY PINEAPPLE


The rinds of Queen Victoria pineapples are infused with Plantation 3 Stars white rum for one week and then pot distilled. Separately we infuse the flesh of these pineapples in Plantation Original Dark rum for 3 months, before blending with the 3 Star distillation.

On the nose, the pineapple aromas leap out of the glass, underpinned by robust caramel and molasses rum character. The rum has a deep texture with light peppered spices backed by a pleasing bitterness and roasted pineapple character. The finish is all pineapple and incredible warmth.

O.F.T.D. OVERPROOF RUM

An unprecedented story of a rum created by created by Plantation’s Rum Master Alexandre Gabriel with Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, Martin Cate, Paul McFadyen, Paul McGee, 

Scotty Schuder and long-time collaborator, David Wondrich. Together they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums, that deliver a rich, red mahogany colour, with intense and precise coffee, orange, plum, jam and truffles in the nose. The taste bursts with caramel cream, chocolate and vanilla, continuing with cinnamon, raisons, nutmeg, oak and molasses with smoky accents.

Treasured by bartenders, this rum is matured slowly through a solera system which uses Cognac barrels, Bourbon barrels, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The sweet up front honeyed mouthfeel dries out quickly allowing full appreciation of the rounded, pleasingly dry, tannic sherry finish.

Jamaica has long been the epicentre of the rum world, with its rich history of piracy, British naval links and pungent tasting rums. This 2005 vintage rum highlights the ancestral Jamaican style: a long fermentation and a 100% pot still distillation blended from the two mythic Long Pond and Clarendon distilleries.

After 12 years ageing in Jamaica and 1 to 2 years in France, banana, prune, roasting coffee and raisin notes endow it with depth, while spices elevate the rum to a rare and distinguished spirit.

Plantation Trinidad 2005 .png

PLANTATION
TRINIDAD 2008

This vintage was distilled in 2008 in a four column still at Trinidad Distillers, and has been aged 11 years in Trinidad, then matured 2 years in Ferrand casks.

Rising fruit notes create a citrus explosion of lemon and pear, followed by grilled almond, popcorn and paprika. It is a fresh and floral rum, perfect as an after diner drink.

Panama 2004 Vintage Rum


For this vintage rum, following a short fermentation, the low alcohol ‘beer’ is distilled in a column still, which is known to give a light, subtle style of spirit. It holds flavours of sweet pineapple and banana, and a unique almost mentholated, eucalyptus character, as well as vanilla and honey – the result of aging in ex-bourbon whiskey casks.

Peru 2004 Vintage Rum


Distilled in column stills at the Destilerías Unidas S.A. de Peru, in the Chicama Valley, an extremely arid region on the Peruvian north coast, this 2004 vintage is first aged 12 years in its terroir of origin and then matured two years in France. It reveals essences of ripe figs, both the fruit and the leaf, and mango, then develops notes of rich pastry, almond and white pepper.

Fiji 2009 Vintage Rum


Coming from the South Pacific Distillery in the Fiji Islands, this unique expression, an alliance of both pot and column stills, was distilled in 2009. Very intense, this vintage rum, aged for 7 years in Fiji and 2 years in Ferrand casks in France, is rich and round, with notes of buttery vanilla, caramel, cocoa and ginger ale as well as quince, hazelnuts and coconut.
