PLANTATION RUM


Each Plantation rum is a perfectly distinct expression of its Caribbean country of origin. Maison Ferrand Owner and Master Distiller, Alexandre Gabriel works closely with local distilleries crafting the rums, where they are left to age in warm Caribbean cellars for the initial part of their life. During the secondary process, the rums are exported to Cognac where they undergo a series of age old Cognac making techniques. This centuries old application is known by the French as 'elevage' and the process used is unique to Plantation. Vibrant, full flavoured Caribbean rums, finished with French finesse - which one will you fall in love with?

ORIGINAL DARK RUM


A blend of aged rums, Original Dark redefines the standard worldwide for dark rum. Three to Five year old Trinidadian rum is blended with Jamaican rum & caramel which enhance the bitter & spiced notes. Perfect with ginger beer, coke or in cocktails.

Plantation XO was produced as a 20th anniversary celebration of Alexandre Gabriel's creative leadership at Maison Ferrand. The double-aging in both ex-bourbon & ex-Grand Champagne Cognac casks leads to a smooth, creamy style of rum rich in exotic sugar cane & a big hit of toasted coconut & banana, enhanced by more complex aromas of cocoa, candied orange & cigar box.

PLANTATION
OVERPROOF RUM

An unprecedented story of a rum created by created by Plantation’s Rum Master Alexandre Gabriel with Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, Martin Cate, Paul McFadyen, Paul McGee, 

Scotty Schuder and long-time collaborator, David Wondrich. Together they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums, that deliver a rich, red mahogany colour, with intense and precise coffee, orange, plum, jam and truffles in the nose. The taste bursts with caramel cream, chocolate and vanilla, continuing with cinnamon, raisons, nutmeg, oak and molasses with smoky accents.

GUATEMALA & BELIZE GRAN ANEJO RUM


Treasured by bartenders, this rum is matured slowly through a solera system which uses Cognac barrels, Bourbon barrels, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The sweet up front honeyed mouthfeel dries out quickly allowing full appreciation of the rounded, pleasingly dry, tannic sherry finish.

JAMAICA 2001 VINTAGE RUM

 

Jamaica has long been the epicentre of the rum world, with its rich history of piracy, British naval links and pungent tasting rums. This rum is distilled in a copper pot still after a very long fermentation creating an extraordinarily rich spirit, with notes of exotic fruit such as banana, coconut and apricot. With it's smoky texture this rum is full of character & appeals to any rum, whiskey or Cognac drinker.

Guyana 2005 Vintage Rum


Classic Guyanese rum from the home of the famous Demerara sugar. This is a robust, smoky rum produced in wooden pot and column stills, entirely produced from molasses. Beyond the deep smokey flavours, you will find notes of flamed banana, dried fig and currants.

Barbados 2001 Vintage Rum


Plantation's Bajan vintage is a rich, surprisingly soft and dry rum with hints of banana and coconut. This particular rum begins it's life aging in Bourbon casks within warm Caribbean cellars, it is then exported to Cognac where it is blended and finished in Cognac casks.

Panama 2004 Vintage Rum


For this vintage rum, following a short fermentation, the low alcohol ‘beer’ is distilled in a column still, which is known to give a light, subtle style of spirit. It holds flavours of sweet pineapple and banana, and a unique almost mentholated, eucalyptus character, as well as vanilla and honey – the result of aging in ex-bourbon whiskey casks.

STIGGINS FANCY 1824 RECIPE


The rinds of Queen Victoria pineapples are infused with Plantation 3 Stars white rum for one week and then pot distilled. Separately we infuse the flesh of these pineapples in Plantation Original Dark rum for 3 months, before blending with the 3 Star distillation.

On the nose, the pineapple aromas leap out of the glass, underpinned by robust caramel and molasses rum character. The rum has a deep texture with light peppered spices backed by a pleasing bitterness and roasted pineapple character. The finish is all pineapple and incredible warmth.
